.There was a series called The Carrie Diaries that recounted the life of Carrie as a teenager. The story was set in 1984, when the future writer was an intern at a fashion magazine. After two seasons, the series was cancelled.

.Sarah Jessica Parker is not responsible for Carrie Bradshaw's fashionista style. Actually, the series had a stylist, Patricia Fields. We owe her the iconic Manolo Blanhik shoes or the famous tutu skirt that Carrie wears in the credits scene. Fields was the same one who chose the outfits for The Devil Wears Fashion, work for which she was nominated for an Oscar.

.Speaking of the tutu in the opening scene, Fields bought it at a garage sale for five bucks and if she hadn't gotten it, Carrie would have worn a Marc Jacobs dress, as the designer revealed a few months ago.

4. Neither Samantha, Charlotte or Miranda repeated any outfit throughout the series. The only one who did was Carrie, who wore the same coat from the first season in the last episode of the series.

.The series is based on the autobiographical columns of writer Candace Bushnell, who wrote for the New York Observer in the 1990s. Bushnell compiled her writings and published the Sex and the City book.

.Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw, was the only actress who had a clause in her contract not to do nudity. That didn't stop her from appearing in her underwear throughout the series.

.None of the addresses of the girls are real. Actually, if you want to visit the facade of the building where Carrie lived, you should go to the West Village at 66 Perry Street in New York. In 2012, that apartment was sold for 9.65 million dollars.

.Kim Cattrall turned down the role of Samantha twice. The actress has declared that at first, she thought that her role was that of the mother of one of the girls.

.The series is responsible for the existence of the book Love letters of great men. In one of the episodes, Carrie uses a quote from the book that was invented by the writers of the series. It was so much the rage that it caused, that they had to publish it some time after its appearance on the program.

.Mr. Big existed in real life and was not a businessman, but the publisher Ron Galloti.
