Dad designs swimsuits for trans girls like her daughter; Here the story

Ruby is a girl who was born with male sexual organs. Since her third grade of primary school, she identified herself as a woman, so her parents decided to seek advice and accompany her during the process to define her gender.

At the age of 12, she began to notice the difficulties that being a transgender person represented, including finding comfortable and beautiful clothes that did not make her feel insecure with her body.

Ruby's dad, Jamie Alexander, noticed that his daughter didn't feel well when they went swimming at the beach, because she didn't like to wear the suits that are commonly sold for girls, so he decided to design swimsuits for her and other trans girls going through the same situation.

Alexander is a tech entrepreneur in Toronto, Canada, and with the help of various fashion designers, he managed to create a special outfit for transgender girls.

To create the perfect piece, Alexander interviewed nearly 50 families he found on Facebook who said their daughters had similar problems. “I knew I had a problem, but I didn't know if everyone else did,” he said.

According to the father, the team designed a swimsuit with a spandex exterior and a mesh lining that is able to gently compress without causing discomfort. He named his line of swimsuits Rubies, and it was such a success that there are people who use them as underwear.
