Heat wave: forecasts, alerts and care for extreme temperatures

Mar del Plata today experienced the hottest day in its history with almost 42 °

The city of Mar del Plata experienced this afternoon the hottest day in its history with a temperature of almost 42°, reported the National Meteorological Service (SMN), which had forecast a maximum of 40° for today. However, the record after 4 p.m. marked 41.9º and thus surpassed the record of the summer of 1957, in which the maximum reached 41.6º.

The sky was partially cloudy, the wind was from the west sector at 35 km per hour, the visibility was 10 km and the humidity was 16%. Street vendors and "chiringos" that sell smoothies, water and refreshing drinks were the beneficiaries this Friday, since those who dared to go down to the beach did not stop consuming their products.
