Fruit, condoms and explosion of creativity in the celebration of World AIDS Day in Geneva |UNUSIDA

The students of the graphic arts departments and interactive videos of the school have participated in this project through the production of artistic expressions that charged the form of posters and videos about the prevention of HIV, which means for them and how it affects them.In addition, this collaboration helped students understand what HIV prevention is and began a dialogue with a key age group.

The inauguration of the art exhibition took place at the Central headquarters of ONUSIDA in Geneva (Switzerland), as part of the commemorative event for World AIDS Day.Mariangella Simao, director of the Department of Rights, Genus Affairs, Prevention and Community Mobilization of Unusida, highlighted the importance of having the presence of so many young people and raising awareness.

«Today is a day when we get together to remember all the lives that have been lost.It is also a day to celebrate our successes and how far we have arrived, ”he said.«HIV can be prevented!We must end the infection cycle, for what we have with you, ”added Simao, addressing the students.

The Dean of Visual Arts of the school, Judith Behar, explained how CFP Arts had enjoyed assigning the projects to the students;projects that serve a cause that goes beyond the walls of the school.

"Our students welcomed the subject of HIV prevention with true passion and really turned to a personal level when they realized that AIDS does concern them".

The posters and videos will be exposed in the UNAIDA building until January 18, 2016.

Winning posters

First prize for Magali Mühlig for his creativity and his positive message about the "heroositive".

Second prize for Joana Ruiz for encouraging a change in behavior with a clear message: we always carry with us a mobile phone, why not a condom?

Third prize for Capucine Fernez for the artistic beauty of her painting: a protected or informed woman, according to the interpretation of each.
