Damon HyperSport SE and SX: two cheaper versions of the Canadian electric motorcycle and with up to 241 km of autonomy

We have known the details of the Damon HyperSport for some time now, a sports-style electric motorcycle that is now also available in two less powerful versions, with 101 and 152 hp, at a more contained price.

Under the names SE and SX, they incorporate 11 and 15 kWh batteries, thus achieving autonomies of 170 and 241 km, below the 321 km that can be traveled for each full charge in the HS configuration.

The same technology but features and a lower price

The Damon HyperSport SE and SX were born as the 'zero emissions' access versions of this motorcycle but without giving up the electric adjustment system for the windshield, the footrests and the handlebars, as well as the CoPilot driving assistance technology that covers the 360º of the mount thanks to cameras, sensors and a radar.

What they do to lower its cost from 21,090 euros to the change that the HS costs (23,747 euros in the case of the Premier with Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes), is to offer a power of 101 CV in the case of the HyperSport SE and 152 hp for the HyperSport SX, compared to 203 hp for the more capable HS and Premier versions.

In addition, the top of the range have a 21.5 kWh battery with which they can travel 321 km for each full charge, while that of the Damon HyperSport SE has a capacity of 11 kWh (170 km) and in the Damon HyperSport SX is 15 kWh (241 km).

Undoubtedly figures that for some may be sufficient, depending on the use they want to give this motorcycle, in addition to taking into account that the SE with the smallest battery will be charged in half the time, an hour and a half in what they call 'level 2' power and in 20 minutes at 'level 3'.

Prices (always talking about the change from dollars to euros), as we told you, drop considerably, with a cost of 14,340 euros for the Damon SE and 16,871 euros for the SX. Undoubtedly a good strategy to try to take a bigger piece of cake in the market.
