On July 8, the influencer and bodybuilder who lives in the United States used her Instagram account to expose the situation after the airline staff did not allow her to board the flight because she was dressed in scant clothing. In addition, she said that she was accused of being “naked”.

"You can't believe what literally just happened at this Texas airport," the model said in a live stream on the social network. "They didn't let me fly because I'm wearing this (her clothes, shorts and tank top) and they said she was naked," she added.

The model, who usually uploads photos on her social networks to show her body and her work as a bodybuilder, said that those responsible for the airline considered that her way of dressing was inappropriate: “I moved from Turkey to the United States to be free as a woman and they did not allow me to get on the plane because according to them I offended the families, can you believe that?

“Let women be free. I'm not naked, not at all, "she sentenced in the video.

“I am an athlete and now I have to wait here until morning. I like to wear feminine clothes that reveal my femininity, but I never dress in a way that offends anyone. I am mature and civilized enough to know what I can and cannot wear,” Saypinar added.

"I don't deserve to be treated like the worst person in the world for wearing shorts. What separates us from the animals if humans cannot control even their most primitive impulses. I feel insulted. They didn't let me get on the plane because I was wearing these shorts, here in the United States,'' she insisted.

According to the model, she had to spend the night at the airport and then was able to board another flight to her destination. The influencer described the fact as an act of discrimination against women, the same reason why she had chosen to leave her country and move to the United States.

Through a statement, and according to what was indicated by the CBSN chain, the airline expressed its position: “On July 8, American Airlines denied boarding to a customer traveling from Dallas-Fort Worth to Miami. As stated in the Conditions of Carriage, all passengers must dress appropriately and offensive clothing is not permitted on board our flights."

Saypinar, who worked as a personal trainer for seven years, was the first non-US citizen to win the US National Bikini Fitness Competition in 2021. Earlier, she had become the first Turkish woman to receive official status for part of the International Federation of Bodybuilding.
